Freyja the ancient, powerful Norse Goddess of women, love and beauty is often associated with scents that evoke sensuality, warmth, love and nature. But, she is multifaceted and is also associated with war, magic, death and witchcraft.
While trying to get a fragrance that shows the femininity whilst also showing the strength, this turned out to be quite a complex scent.
The base has notes of oakmoss with patchouli, sandalwood and cedar, this is lifted with fruit and floral accords, including rose, jasmine, bergamot and orange blossom. Amber and musk were an essential part of the mix to add the hidden depth of the Goddess
This scent is sold as a perfume spray or as roll on oil. The oil can also be used in meditation and ritual work, or just as a personal fragrance. This would be a perfect scent for invoking Freyja’s energy into your spiritual practises and may strengthen the bond with Freyja
